Gommar,
Love your list, I love seeing your pictures, it so reminds me of the days leading up to when Oliver was born. You were little, and your parents would get mad at me when I would go help you when you were crying in your bed in the middle of the night. They said they were trying to teach you to calm yourself down and go back to sleep. I so didn't get it then, but it was kinda hard cuz I was sleeping in your room with you. I was crazy excited to be there when Oliver was born. But I took a weekend trip to Provo to see Chad, and then got back Oliver was already born.
Anyway as far as gifts go, I am going to be a tad boring and send gift cards or a check. I was thinking about mixing it up a bit and making the check out to Ardriene and Jim and saying they had to do the shopping. But having Jim shop for the baby kinda scares me.

Cheeper stroller
Trevor and I found the same thing at Costo, it wasn't the graco brand, but it was a good quality for alot less.

A neat experience
I keep thinking 'what that heck was I thinking.....I was home free'. All 3 of my kids are in high school, one going to graduate. Think of all the things I could have been doing. We (Trevor and I got golf clubs). We keep taking about all the things we could do together, and raising a 4th child was never brought up, well it was 4 years ago, but we just figured it wasn't going to happen. Well here we are, Edward Stephen in on his way.
Last night I had a really cool dream.....Ruth brought me Edward. She let me hold him and look at him, but said I couldn't have him yet because I was still working. Of course he had the blue eyes with very little blond hair. He knew me and recognized me. It was so cool to hold him. She even cracked a funny.....she said to make sure I fed him "Rice" milk. It was pretty cool!

If I new....
If I knew those sweet fun little kids, would really in reality grow up so dang fast into smart mouthed obnoxious teenagers, that smell horrible, would I do it all over again?
Heck yes, I think I would just enjoy and savor each little bit a lot more.
But then Beth you already know this, so just enjoy and do everything you said you would and wouldn't do with the first three.

Love this!
Thanks for putting this together Esther, I know we all wish we could go to Boise & Phoenix to party it up and spoil our little "BSU Babies" but since we can't - I am so excited about this....SO first things first.
After talking with Jim & Shaye, they are in need of a stroller - TA DA! I found one - see if you like this one (mostly Jim & Shayes opinion matter the most) We could split the cost on this & shipping is free. If you would like to add a few items, they are short on clothing, onesies, and of course diapers - so if you are so inclined...other than that I think they got it (I did not inquire about a bouncy seat).
Beth mentioned mostly the small things like clothes and burp rags, diapers etc. She had all the big stuff already - at least I think...SO on with it. Let me know what you think:)
Love,
Becky

In the beginning
The original idea behind this blog was simply the desire to have baby showers for Beth and Shaye. Acquiring all the baby gear for your first (or first in 14 years) baby is tough, so we're hoping Beth and Shaye will feel free to post what you still need and if anyone has something they want to gift or pass along, we will have it all in one place.
Now for the fun part. We would also love to have anyone post about things they know, or wish they knew, when they started out, and of course leave it open to questions from all. Our family has always been such a large data base of information from so many different angles, and you have all shaped my parenting style in one way or another.....brothers included!
So, take a quick minute to post some thoughts, it doesn't need to be anything fancy. For those lurking in fear on the edge of blogosphere.....it's time to take the plunge!
Love ya,
Esther
